Hank Williams Jr.'s Daughter Katherine Dies at 27 in a Tennessee Car Crash
The 27-year-old daughter of Hank Williams, Jr was killed in a highway accident Saturday night in Paris, Tennessee police said.
Katherine Williams-Dunning was the driver of an SUV that was towing a boat when it crossed the median for unknown reasons and rolled over Saturday night on US Route 79, just northeast of Paris according to WKRN.
Her husband, Tyler Dunning, 29 was a passenger in the vehicle local news outlet reported. He was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where his condition is still unknown.
Married in 2015, Williams-Dunning lived in West Tennessee with her husband and two children. A recent Instagram post shows the Dunning family enjoying a family vacation where she captioned “These days are wild with a 2 and 5-year old! In January this year, I decided to be more present and be more peaceful in all aspects of life.”
Holly Williams, older sister and country singer-songwriter, also paid tribute to her sister by saying in an Instagram post, “ ALL we need is prayers. So. Many. Prayers.”
Williams-Dunning was born on October 21, 1992. She is daughter of Williams Jr. and Mary Jane Thomas and the sister of singer Sam Williams’ and half-sister of Shelton Hank Williams (Hank III), Holly Williams and Hilary Williams.
