"I Need More Beer"
What Granny wants, Granny gets. 93-year-old Oliver Veronesi of Pittsburgh, PA who has been self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic went viral on Twitter as she was photographed through her window holding up a sign on a dry erase board with the message, “I NEED MORE BEER!!”
Coors Light heard the call and quickly replied that beer was on the way and delivered 150 cans of Coors light to Veronesi’s home on Monday in a statement to USAToday.
"When we saw Olive’s message, we knew we had to jump at the chance to not only connect with someone who brought a smile to our faces during this pandemic but also gave us a special opportunity to say thanks for being a Coors Light fan," a Molson Coors spokesman said.
Mark Linder of Molson Coors told local Pittsburgh KDKA News, “My associate and I put 10 cases of beer, and drove up, and made sure Olive got her beer so she could continue her healthy regimen of a Coors Light a day.”
Olive was down to her last 12 cans when she put out the word that provisions were running low. Veronesi told reporters, “I have a beer every night. You know what, beer has vitamins in it, it’s good for you, as long as you don’t overdo it.”
