Free Beer and Dogs: Busch Beer Giving Away 3 Months Worth of Free Beer with Dog Adoption
Sheltering in place just got a little better. As businesses and organizations all around the country are closing down, let’s not forget about our furry friends. In an effort to provide homes for dogs in animal shelters, Busch Beer is giving away 3 months’ worth of free beer for the first 500 people who foster or adopt a dog.
The “Foster a Dog, Get Busch” promotion is a way for the Midwest Animal Rescue and other organizations and groups around the country to promote pet adoptions. The spokesperson for Busch Beer stated “During these uncertain and lonelier times, people need an escape: cue the puppy memes and photos. Just as much as we need the cute puppy pics to help us get through social distancing, it’s actually them who need us.”
According to Busch, no purchase of beer is required. To enter for the free beer, you have to foster a dog from Midwest Animal Rescue. Once you go through the adoption process, a confirmation email will be sent from the animal shelter. From there, the email needs to be sent to Busch Beer through their social media accounts by April 25th.
Busch will then send the first 500 people a $100 pre-paid debit card you can use to buy your 3 months’ worth of free beer which is the cash equivalent of two 24-packs a month for 3 months. For some of you out there, it may actually be only a month’s worth of free beer, but we won’t judge. But in order to adopt a pet, you do have to pay the pet adoption fee. The promotion is scheduled to run from now until April 25th.
One-third of the world’s population is sheltering in place to slow the spread of COVID 19 and the isolation can be rough. A new dog is a perfect way to combat the mundane and loneliness. We all need a friend in times of crisis, and nothing beats drinking a beer with your best friend.
